I've been a licensed architect for more than 15 years with over 35 years of professional experience in and near architecture. I founded B Hattermann Architecture in 2015 focused on coupling unique, high quality, detailed design with excellent customer service. Our practice model focuses on building a knowledgeable, creative team while giving back to our clients and community. We recognize several goals that move our firm in this direction.

Professional Development
We focus on professional development to close the knowledge gap between experienced staff and young professionals. Our goal is to provide a solid foundation in our staff regardless of age or experience for architectural process from concept through construction. Developing successful professionals will broaden the opportunity to build a strong client base and improve quality in our field of expertise.
Quality and Delivery
We provide a creative, flexible delivery mechanism by implementing a team-centric model. Extra focus is placed on communication and training junior staff with frequent meetings and inclusive interaction to ensure integration and development. Our approach is to define as many opportunities in our projects as possible before developing strategies and solutions. Knowing the ‘why’ is fundamental to our solutions.
Sustainable Solutions
Our design process focuses on sustainable design solutions, especially on water conservation, energy reduction and clean energy use and production, and building envelope performance. Our resources are precious and design presents a front line in managing how we utilize those resources and impact our environment.
“Give-back” Approach
In exchange for reduced hours in any given work week, employees will be encouraged to volunteer their time back into the community. There is benefit in being connected to the people and programs that serve those around us. Our staff gain exposure to potential press and present or potentially future clients while providing valuable service in the community.
Design-Build | DEvelop
Develop a construction and development branch for projects of limited scope or to deliver projects in under serviced market sectors. Construction and development may be utilized as a testing and training mechanism for staff, new products, and assemblies to be marketed and implemented on larger scale development.
